Hopes and Wishes for PS4

by admin on Jan.17, 2010, under Games News, Gaming Gadget

ps4concept-300x212 The Playstation 4 which will be one of the hottest gaming console in the world is still years away from release. We do have hopes and wishes for it, some of them:

1. More Games
Every gamer will always want more and more game choices. PS4 needs to be easily developed in all things and that will make PS4 flooded with great games.

2. More RPG
This is my favorite genre. I love RPG since I played Final Fanstasy 7 from PS. The PS3 is lacking in RPG games and of course I hope PS4 will have many great RPG games.

3. Shorter Loading time
Sony needs to increase the capacity of RAM so that heavy games can load fast. We want more playing time and less waiting time.

4. Better Voice Chat

5. DualShock 4
DualShock is the best game controller out there. We hope that Sony change nothing for the new version of DualShock.

PS4 is surely going to be the hottest next generation gaming console, it will have the best graphic as Sony is working hard for that. PS4 will be an amazing entertainment system that will sell out quickly, so you will need to Pre Buy PS4 if you want to taste the hottest gaming console near the realease date.

Limited Editions Black Nintendo Wii

by admin on Oct.25, 2009, under Gaming Gadget

nintendo-wii-black-300x180 Black Nintendo Wii, are you one of those who really want to give hands on it? Knowing that it is a limited edition and currently just situated across Japanese borderline. Apparently Nintendo confirmed the black console will be available for Europe. Dated on November 6th, Eurogamers will be able to have the pack of black Wii, with matching Wii Remote, Nunchuk and MotionPlus peripherals along with copies of Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort.

Following with the new black bundle launch, is its November 20th general availability across Europe. But until now, there are no words on the price of the new bundle. Interestingly, we heard that the company will also be including a black version of the Classic Controller Pro that will be separately sold.

Although the Black Nintendo is confirmed for Europe heading back to U.S. is a different situation where Nintendo USA is still in secrecy if there will be a limited black version of Wii. Instead last July the company issued a statement no plans to have other colors of Wii in the US, which seems we can wait or not cross-fingers.

Gigabyte GV-R489OC-1GD 4890

by admin on Sep.02, 2009, under Gaming Gadget

Gigabyte GV-R489OC-1GD 4890 There are three basic categories of Radeon HD 4890 cards available on the market today. On the low-end are the plain jane reference designs that are exact replicas of each other and rely on the bone stock cooling and clock speeds ATI dictates at a minimum for the Radeon 4890 GPU. These cards tend to be priced cheaper – often right around $200 or less – as they’re essentially competing for the gamer on a budget who wants no frills, and just wants to get their hands on 4890 technology at the lowest price point possible.

Then there are the hardware enthusiasts who want performance. For this user, card manufacturers offer their factory OC’ed 4890 boards.

Earlier this summer these cards tended to rely on the stock ATI cooler as well, but newer boards released in the last two months have offered significantly better cooling. These cards tend to reach for clock speeds approaching the 1GHz core clock frequency, and are priced appropriately.

The third camp wants the high-end cooling found on the aforementioned OC’ed 4890 cards; ATI’s stock cooler isn’t good enough. At the same time though these users don’t want to pay the $220+ many of the fastest Radeon 4890 cards sell for.

Basically, they want good GPU cooling, but they don’t want to be forced to donate an organ to afford it either.

Logitech Harmony Adapter for PlayStation 3

by admin on Aug.27, 2009, under Games News, Gaming Gadget

timthumb.phpLogitech Harmony Adapter , PlayStation 3 The PlayStation 3’s more than just a gaming machine. It’s also a Bluray player and a media server. When used as such, the DualShock is passable, but hitting pause or rewind on a remote is easier for most people than fiddling with a gamepad. Unfortunately, most remotes don’t work with the PS3 natively. You’ve got two options though – you could go out and buy a new Bluetooth remote control for about $20-$30, or you could get the $60 Logitech Harmony Adapter for the PS3, provided you already own a Harmony remote. Ultimately it’s the price of convenience. You either add that new remote to the existing stack or make the console work with a universal Harmony remote.

Setting up the Harmony Adapter didn’t take too long. A quick tap of the button on the underside of the device had it synced with our PS3 in a few seconds. The trip to the computer to setup the Harmony remote itself took a little bit longer. Logitech would do well to simply include a Harmony Adapter device setting, instead you have to add a generic game console and call it the PlayStation 3. Minor quibble, but it would make setup that much easier.

Harmony remotes are well known for their ability to build out “activities”. Activities basically give you one button macros to watch TV or play a game. In a full home theater you’d be pressing more than a few buttons on at least two or three remotes to get to where you need to be, what with all the devices and inputs. With a properly setup activity, one button press turns on the PS3, the TV and the home theater receiver, while simultaneously choosing all the appropriate inputs. If you’ve used universal remotes before it sounds like a tall order, but Logitech’s software makes setting up activities relatively painless.

Within 15 minutes we had the PlayStation 3 integrated into the home theater setup with hardly a hiccup. The Harmony Adapter for the PlayStation 3 delivers exactly what it offers. You can’t really go wrong if you can stomach the cost.
